Accessibility statement

We want this site to be usable by as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a box to tick.

What we do

We build the site with accessibility in mind:

  • Pages use semantic HTML with clear headings and labelled navigation.
  • The site can be used with a keyboard and works with browser zoom and text resizing.
  • We pay attention to colour contrast, and offer both light and dark appearance.
  • The layout is responsive and adapts to phones, tablets, and desktops.
  • Where we use motion, we respect the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system and turn animation off.
  • Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text.

Known limitations

This is a new site and we are still testing it against the full WCAG 2.2 AA standard, so some areas may not yet fully meet it. If you find something that does not work well for you, we want to hear about it.

Reporting a problem

If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you need information in a different format, use the contact form. Tell us the page and the problem, and we will do our best to help and to provide the content another way.

How we respond

We aim to reply to accessibility feedback promptly, to fix genuine barriers, and to feed what we learn back into how we build and maintain the site.
